Wimax o Wi-Fi?… cual es la mejor para Cañete… 29, noviembre 2006

Por cierto, cuando hablamos de Wimax o Wi-Fi estamos hablando de tecnología de punta en el tema de la conexión inalámbrica. Cuando Salamanca comenzo con la idea de conectarse era lo que estaba en el mercado, pero hoy hay nuevas alternativas y medios de acceso más rápidos, como es la fibra óptica que Salamanca no posee. Por otra parte, se podrá cuestionar el proyecto de Salamanca en muchos puntos, pero que generaron impacto en su comunidad y en el país entero… sin duda lo hiceron… a pesar de ser un pueblo cordillerano muy distante de los centros poblados.
En este afán de «Iluminar Cañete», varias personas se han interesando en aportar con conocimientos e ideas, investigando a fondo los dos principales sistemas de conexión inalámbrica. Por una parte se tiene Wimax, que en el papel parece un medio de transmisión potente, pero que no existe todavía referente técnico que permita confiabilidad en el tema y por otro lado tenemos el Wi-Fi, que a pesar de sus limitaciones de alcance a demostrado ser eficiente en el «Acceso a Internet Inalámbrico». También esta la opción de instalar los dos sistemas y así potenciar las debilidades de ambos. Para Cañete hay que estudiar las dos opciones y de acuerdo a los recursos logrados, a las factibilidades técnicas y a los beneficios para la comunidad, se deberá tomar la mejor de las opciones, tema que deberan resolver técnicos y responsable del proyecto.
Aquí será fundamental el apoyo que nos pueda entregar jovenes ingenieros Cañetinos que desinteresadamente han ofrecido su apoyo…
